Bergen, Thomas Stage Stop
Thomas Bergen came to Colorado in 1859 and traveled straight through to the mountains by way of Bear Creek and his first house became a stage stop. The junction is now Conifer. Bergen's Ranch became a famous way station on the stage coach and wagon roads to mines.
