Arvada Square

Address: Independence Street on the west, Ralston Road on the south, and Garrison Street on the east. Ralston Road was on an angle at the time and was later squared at the corner of Independence and West 58th Avenue.

Ollie S. Forsberg and Erma Forsberg founded Arvada Square on June 14, 1957. This was the first shopping development away from Olde Town, Arvada which makes it unique. It housed a new Safeway store and several other shops. At a later date, the Arvada State Bank built a new bank at this site.
